Nero Claudius Drusus (38 – 9 BC), a Roman politician and war hero who conquered Germania. Drusus is said to have seen an apparition of a Germanic woman demanding he leave her country and warning him of his imminent death. As a result, Drusus turned his army back towards Rome. On this return journey, Drusus accidentally fell from his horse and subsequently died from his injuries.

Inspired by the marble bust of ‘Drusus Maior’ at the Cinquantenaire Museum, Royal Museum of Art and History, Brussels.

This limited edition print was produced using archival inks on Copper House Hahnemühle Photo Rag Fine Art Paper.
